This is a help file that will explain how to setup email in Vista Mail to use with the Platinum Web Service.

Click here to return to the main Platinum Help Center

This is the blank Vista mail screen.
The first thing that you will want to do is open your Email Accounts settings in Vista Mail. Please refer to the picture at the left to see how to do that.

After clicking on theAccounts menu item, you will see the next screen.
Click "Add" to create a new e-mail setup in Vista Mail, through which you can receive your e-mail you have already created through the Platinum Internet Tools.
Enter your real, full name.
Enter your full email address. For example, if you created an email address with the name of "jdoe" with the domain name "example.com", then you would enter "jdoe@example.com"
For the Incoming mail server, enter in your domain name (example.com in this example) but always put "diamond.homegauge.com" in as the Outgoing e-mail server.
Enter in your e-mail and the password you created using the E-Mail Manager with the Platinum Internet Tools.
Click "Finish"
Click the "Properties" button in the Internet Accounts window.
Click the "Servers" tab and then check the "My server requires authentication" checkbox, as shown on the left.

Click the "Advanced" tab and then change the Outgoing mail (SMTP): setting to "587" and make sure the "Incoming mail (POP3):" setting is "110".

Click Apply, then OK, and then Close on the next window to finish.

You can now send and receive email through your Vista Mail program for your Platinum Internet Tools email!
